Ski Club Partial Re-Opening

We are looking to re open the ski club compound and tractor facility this Saturday, however there are tasks to complete before we can do this for both the club and members.

We have spoken to the Local Council and been in communication with the RNLI and BWSW. You will be pleased to hear that we are able to resume using water craft under controlled measures.

The club building will be CLOSED, this is because we are unable to service the facility and maintain a safe social distance. Persons requiring toilet facilities should use the council public facilities that will be open and have staff cleaning them in full PPE.

Only persons that are living in the same household are allowed to share a craft. All government rules with regards to mixing with persons outside that household unit should be adhered to. I am unable to give advise on this- If you need any further information you are refereed to the .gov website.

Any person wishing to use the facility will require club membership to include, valid insurance, current SBDA/RYA qualification, and a slipway permit. I will be doing membership renewals over the phone and taking card payments only NO CASH. The fees for this year will be charged at a rate of 50% of the 2019 price; this is to reflect the shortened session and the reduced level of facilities. Also, the risk that if the R value rises, we may not be able to use the water for periods of time, no refunds will be offed should this happen.

The tractors will be equipped with anti-bacterial products so that you are able to sanitise the vehicle prior to your use, paying particular attention to social distancing.

If you wish to renew your membership please contact me on 01485 532010. Please ensure you have the required detail to complete the renewal.

1/ Craft Insurance

2/ RYA / SBDA

3/ Card Payment method.

4/ Print a copy of the slipway permit from the Hunstanton Ski Club Web-site and complete the form.

All of the above will need to be photographed and sent to me.

[email protected]

Please under no circumstance use the club compound or tractors without valid email confirmation of your 2020 membership. Any persons not adhering to this will be unable to join the club post infringement.

It is clearly very pleasing we are able to get back to our sport. At the request of the RNLI you should only go out on the water if you are as sure as you can be, that your craft and equipment are in very good working order. It is critical that the last person to leave the compound ensures that the tractors are put away and the barriers are locked.

Best Regards

Martin Bennett
